New Jersey is strict: front side windows must allow at least 70% of light in (nearly clear), and the windshield cannot be dark-tinted — though we do offer a clear UV and heat-rejection film for the windshield that's legal because it doesn't darken the glass. The good news: rear side windows and the rear window can be as dark as you want, including 5% (limo). New York follows the same 70% front rule with any shade on rears.
